Jobs

Elastio jobs execute background tasks, including deploying Elastio resources, backup and restore operations and integrity checks. Background jobs are initiated when performing agentless EBS and EC2 operations and integrity checks. Background jobs run in the same account as Elastio. They also automatically run in the correct region for the resources being managed. Other kinds of jobs represented on the Jobs page are foreground backups and restores, such as block, file or stream. These jobs will show up on the Jobs page as well and display the current status or the job result, depending on its state.

The Elastio Tenant Jobs page possesses a left-side menu, which breaks the jobs down into different types related to Cloud Connector, Deployment and System. It allows you to switch between the job types fast.

The Elastio Tenant Jobs page allows you to check the status of a certain operation performed by Elastio. The Jobs table displays a Job Type, its Task, Cloud Connector (specifically an account number and a region the Cloud Connector was deployed in), an Asset Kind, a Resource ID, the Date the operation was scheduled on, the Date of its completion and the Status of the Job.

The “Scheduled on” date displays the date the operation was scheduled on. The “Completed on” date displays the date when the operation was completed.

The status of a job shows the progress of the operation.
